Hello everyone and welcome once again to Chacauco.org. We are glad that you decided to drop by and want to thank you in adavance for your patience as we continue to develop the site. One area we have made same progress in is on the Children and Youth Camps page where we have hopefully given you a glimpse of our vision and some of the ways we are participating with God in fulfilling that vision. Once again thanks for stopping by and God Bless!
Hello! My name is Julee Duke and I will be bringing a group on young people to Camp Chacauco this June to serve there. We are coming with Servant Life. I would love any information that you can give us about the camp, the missionaries that will be leading us, the weather, what my students will be doing, etc. Thank you so much! We are very excited!!
Julee Duke
Thanks for dropping by Julee we are excited to have you and your team. Camp Chacauco is in a mountain valley about 6,000 feet above sea level. Despite being near the equator the Camp warm temperatures during the day, usually ranging between 70-80 degrees, with temperatures at night in the 50s. The missionaries are Steve and Carol Thompson and have been serving in Ecuador for over 26 years. I will let them tell you their incredible story in person. As for what you can expect, we will be sending you an updated itinerary as we draw closer to your arrival. Unfortunately the situation can, at times, change so please be flexible. Hopefully that answered some of your questions and again you should be receiving more definite information in the near future. God has great plans for you and your group! God bless!
